POP contributed to the first EoCoE-II Performance Evaluation Workshop organised at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg on 7-10 October 2019. EoCoE experts from Friedrich Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg introduced a “holistic” node-level performance engineering strategy centered around the roofline performance model and applied it to different algorithms from computational science.

One full day was dedicated to introduce the POP metrics and the BSC performance tools with practical hands-on about the POP methodology and supporting the attendees to apply POP methodology on their own codes.
