POP @ CompBioMed2019

Friday, September 27, 2019

From 25 to 27 September, 2019, POP attended the CompBioMed conference 2019 in London, an annual conference hosted by the CompBioMed CoE. The conference is focused on computational biomedicine, particularly using HPC simulation for in-silico experiments and POP was represented by Craig Lucas and Phil Tooley from NAG Ltd.

Craig gave a presentation introducing the POP project and our performance optimisation services, while Phil gave a talk on benchmarking and optimising HPC codes using a CompBioMed project as a case study.  We also had many interesting and useful conversations with members of the computational biomedicine community who were keen to learn more about POP.  Our thanks to conference administrator Emily Lumley of UCL for her assistance and to all the other organisers who made the conference a success.
