The POP project partners met for an internal performance tool training at HLRS in Stuttgart on September 20 and 21, 2016.

Tool developer and experts from the Score-P/Scalasca team of JSC and the Extrae/Paraver team of BSC trained the POP performance analysis experts in advanced tool usage. Experiences with the performance tools used and difficulties encountered during the services performed in the first year of the project were discussed. Another focus were the common efficiency metrics and methodology developed in the last meeting and how the effectively calculate the metrics with the performance tools.
