On December 9 to 11, 2019 the partners of the POP CoE (Second Phase) met in Aachen, Germany for a 2-day project meeting at the IT center of the RWTH Aachen University.

Besides the usual reports from project management and the work package leaders of the project, the second day was used to discuss organizational and technical issues in greater detail. This included sustainability strategies for the POP project, proposal of application kernels for the new Co-design Activities work package, ideas and proposals on how to extend and improve the POP methodology, for example, to better describe mixed MPI+OpenMP executions or how to include Vectorization or I/O, and streamlining our Performance Assessment workflow. We also discussed our strategy and presentation materials for the upcoming FocusCoe/EU CoE workshop next week in Luxembourg.
