POP3 CoE organised a 5-day on-site event in Barcelona Supercomputing Center on 09th-13th of February 2026 as the 48th VI-HPS Tuning Workshop in collaboration with CASTIEL.

The participants were introduced to the POP Methodology and tools, with a deep dive into Score-P/Scalasca and Paraver/Extrae/Dimemas and their advanced uses. Other POP tools were presented and used during the hands-on sessions, including MAQAO, TALP, OTF-CPT, CARM, ARCHER, MUST and MERIC. 11 participants were registered for on-site attendance to the event, and 4 additional participants attended the presentations online. The hands-ons were conducted on the general purpose and GPU partitions of the Marenostrum5 cluster. Participants reported satisfaction with the tools and the workshop format.
